Mashup| Mashup Monday 6-25-12

Mashup Monday is here again, and this week we did something different, instead of giving you 7 or 8 songs that are not that solid and unreal we are giving you 3 Unreal mashups. We like many of the music blogs out there have seen the uprise of mashup artists out there who think they are the next big thing and the quality of mashups has suffered signifcantly since this rise in mashup artists. We will still give you mashups daily but instead of giving you so many that your brain blows up, we will just give you the most unreal mashups. But, here we go; first song a new one from Mashup- Germany called “Life Of Bad Touch” great mashup that I think everyone will like. Third song by Scrab called “You’ve Got The Clocks But We Are The Time” is an unreal chill mashup that I just played about 20 times on my speakers this morning. Enjoy this week’s mashup Monday.

Mashup Album| #BASSMOB II: Return To Never Never Land by 5 & A Dime

5 & A Dime released his new album about 10 hours ago and it is his best album yet. 5 & A Dime has increased his value with this album tremendously, showing everyone that he is not just a one hit wonder mashup artist like most artists out there today. Even though some of these songs were already released before they dropped this album, there are still some dirty mashups that are new for the album. My favorite track on this album is “A Dance With Molly” such a solid mashup to listen to for any occasion. “Filth In Paris” which features Basic Physics is my second favorite, of course this song was released a while back but I love it. Overall a solid showing from 5 & A Dime. Enjoy.

Hip-Hop| Hands On The Wheel by Schoolboy Q (feat A.S.A.P Rocky)

I don’t know how long this one has been out but it is absolutely unreal. This song samples Lissies cover of “Pursuit Of Happiness” which is a Cudder classic. I apologize if you have already heard this song, but I had to do it with the chance of it being somebody’s new favorite jam. Download.

Hip-Hop| Honey Cocaine

Meet Honey Cocaine, a female rapper often mentioned in the likes of Tyga. A little fun fact about Ms. Honey Cocaine is that she was shot in the arm earlier this year in a drive by shooting. She talks about getting shot in the first song posted below entitled “Who Shot Me”. Her next song “Feel Shit” is great and worth a download. It was not until today that I’ve heard of Honey Cocaine, but she is definitely worth a listen.

Chill| My Tears Are Becoming A Sea by M83 (song from World Of Red Bull Commercial)

Ever since seeing this Red Bull commercial for the first time I was blown away by the song in the background. This song perfectly embodies the nothing is impossible lifestyle that Red Bull promotes. I cannot help but to notice that whenever this song is on the screen I am sucked in to the entire advertisement. I hope you enjoy the song, welcome to the World of Red Bull.

House| Thursday’s Thumpers 6-21-12

Back with another great selection of songs for your Thursday’s Thumpers, we have eight unreal new house songs for you guys in this post. First song by KDrew an artist I do not know much about to be honest, but he creates an unreal progressive electro song here that I think you will really like. Second song on the playlist this week is “Home (Younglife & Whyel Remix)” both these artists already have made incredible remixes to popular pop songs, and they stay true to what they do best, remixing Edward Sharpe & Magnetic Zeros hit song. They keep the chill vibe to the song just adding a few changes here and there, but I love the song, a must download. The best progressive house song without vocals this week is “Mango” by Djinn & Tuben, these two create an unreal buildup to a great drop, give it a listen. Also a must download this week is “Let Us Stay Young (Wulf & Forever Kid Remix)” Wulf & Forever Kid have already shown me that they are one of the best remixers around, all I want to see from both artists is more music, because they are addicting. Enjoy this week’s addition of Thursday’s Thumpers.

Mashup| The Day The Music Died by Mashup-Germany

Mashup-Germany released this mashup this past Sunday and now has released a music video to go along with one of the best relaxing mashups I have heard in some time. I will be playing this song over and over again this weekend, for sure. But the music video is put together flawlessly and it really is a great mashup of all the music videos of the tracks in Mashup-Germany’s song. A must download if you didn’t download off our mashup monday post this week. Enjoy.
