TheFatRat has decided to become one of our Affiliated Artists on this website, this is a huge step for TMUB, we are so happy to be affiliated with TheFatRat. TheFatRat rat started making his own music and remixing others in summer of 2011, but his music sounds like as if he has been doing this for years. He makes unreal original songs, and can remix with the best of them. I was even more excited when he decided to do an interview with us, which is below his music in this post. I believe that there are great things in TheFatRat’s future, if he keeps at this pace he will be playing at Tomorrowland in no time. INTERVIEW WITH THE FAT RAT:

1.   To start the interview I think everyone wants to know why do you call yourself TheFatRat?

TFR- That comes from my nickname in school. I was called ” the rat” there. I’m still not sure if it came from the fact that I was so nasty or if it was due to my long tail.

2.   What got you into making music?

TFR- I guess that is because I just can’t do anything else. Music is the only thing that keeps me excited. Well…eating things also does, but it’s hard to make a living from that

3.   What is your favorite genre of music?

TFR- Fuck the genres.

4.   What has been your favorite song you have made?

TFR- Uhm, that’s hard to say. I really like all of them. It’s like “What is your favorite child?”

5.   Do you like creating original tracks or remixing?

THF- I think I prefer original tracks. Although it’s a little harder to do them cause you have to start from a blank page.

6.   Have you ever been to the states?

TFR- Of course. I live here. I am originally from germany but I live in LA now.

7.   Who is your favorite artist?

TFR- Mosaro & Astrid Kuby

8.   Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

TFR- I think I see myself in the same spot where I am now. In the studio, doing what I love most: making music.

9.   Have any stuff coming out soon you’d like to tell viewers of The Most Unreal Beats about?

TFR- I am working hard on some new original stuff. But it’s really hard to describe what it is. Think it’s even more off the genres than all the stuff that I did before.
