It was a bold move making the hit “Thrift Shop” by Macklemore acoustic but from what we have seen, Dan Henig is all about making a statement. He rocked “Get Low” by Lil John in a Coffee Shop [Here] and continues to impress us with this number. Dan grew up in England where he discovered his passion for music and learned to to play cello, trumpet and guitar. He now lives in Michigan and has recently released his EP. We will stay on the lookout for some more of his songs to share with you.
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. Get used to hearing that name because in 2012 they were in my mind and thousands of others their breakout group of the year. These two guys are what is beautiful and amazing about music. Honestly, it takes a lot of stones to be able to rap about agreeing with gay rights as a rapper, because in the world we live in today rappers are looked at as people who oppose gay rights and who only rap about drugs, sex, and negative subjects. Macklemore takes a different route and kills it, goes against the drugs because he was an addict and he saw how it ruined his life and he wants to show the world how their should be same sex marriage in our country and he does a great job of showing it through his music. This video has him singing live three songs, in order, Same Love, Thrift Shop, Can’t Hold Us. He brings with him Ray Dalton who sings the vocals for his song Can’t Hold Us. The guy has the most swag I have ever seen. Watch this video because it made me smile to see someone that is different can make it and become this famous without signing to a huge record label. The guy is a legend in my book and you will understand what I mean after you watch this video. Enjoy.
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are making moves to becoming one of the best hip-hop artists around. In my mind the duo is already there, but there is still a large amount of people who have never heard of these two artists. Releasing this song “Same Love” will gather quite a following from the gay community, and its probably the best timing for these two guys to release this song. Macklemore tells a story in every one of his songs, and he keeps to his style in this song. He raps about topics that are not only powerful, but also relevant in todays society. Now lets go to the point this song is filthy the lyrics he raps are dirty, Ryan Lewis gives him an awesome beat too. Back with our second part of the two part series of our best hip-hop on our site, and its a good group of 14 songs. My favorite track in this part of our series is “Can’t Hold Us ” by Macklemore featuring Ray Dalton; I love the chorus of this song with Ray Dalton, another great track from Macklemore. Another song that has been really popular on our site is “Goodbye” by Shawn Collins, slow and chill beat with very motivating and bone chilling lyrics from Shawn Collins. “Is It Worth It” by Mike Stud is my favorite song from this Duke graduate, really hits home and he raps about how his music career is worth him giving up so many other options. Macklemore and Ryan Lewis have blown up since making it on the 2012 XXL Freshmen Album, with their song Victory Lap. Seeing the downloads that song has had the past two days we decided to give you a special on Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. We are starting a weekly article going in depth and describing a certain popular artist. To start this Artist Spotlight weekly post, we give you Macklemore and Ryan Lewis.
Ben Haggerty better known as Macklemore grew up in Seattle, Washington in 1983 he is the rapper of the group. Ryan Lewis is the producer of Macklemore. They aren’t the normal duo, they don’t just rap about the sex and the rich life of being a hip-hop artist like most artists do. Macklemore raps about topics that are true to him and society issues such as; drug abuse, consumerism, race, and nationality. He is a very inspirational rapper, all his music videos prove a point and tell a story, thats why I love him so much watching the music videos and understanding what he is rapping about is what its all about.

When the 2012 XXL Freshmen cover came out and I found out Macklemore was indeed on the cover made me so happy, because Macklemore and his partner Ryan Lewis are one of my favorite groups around. I cant help but have their songs on repeat all the time, the beats and the lyrics they make are dope, if you actually listen you will hear a story in every single one of their songs. The Song Victory Lap which is featured on the 2012 XXL Freshmen album will be the best thing for Macklemore in the future. Hope you guys like this, Enjoy.
We are back in school now from spring break and we are going to give you guys so much more music then when we were on spring break trust me. Starting off this week we give you part VI of our Hip-Hop Young Guns series. This weeks addition has sick songs from Mike Stud, Sam Adams, Timeflies, Macklemore, and many other up and coming artists. Mike Stud’s “Summer Swag” is unreal his lyrics are sick, just listen after the first chorus you hear some unreal lyrics that you will love. I found a new group called Rich Bros and they are unreal, their song “Feelin’ Alright” that is on this playlist is unreal. I have had it on repeat since downloading it. Also, we give you some Macklemore and personally I love Macklemore, his lyrics and beats are just so good, and if you listen to the lyrics he tells a story every song he raps. My favorite song this week is probably Rich Bros “Feelin’ Alright” its just plain filthy. Enjoy guys and keep downloading.
